Bow Build Guide

Updated 2026-10-06 · Lv 57 · Single Arrow + Apex Predator

At a glance: a Single Arrow + Apex Predator Bow build on 57 mastery points, planned at 14,069 single-target DPS in the Bow Planner; every planner and roadmap starts from this build. Autos carry the build; keep Haste on in your current party and Attack when solo.

Current build

Single Arrow plus Apex Predator, built around auto-attacks, with all 57 mastery points spent and nothing defensive. It averages about 13.3K DPS on normal packs and leads the party. Test changes in the Bow Planner.

Party vs solo. Planner numbers assume your usual party: four party auras (Attack +5.7%, Haste, Defense and Wisdom for 84.8 mana regen per 10 s) and 16% party vulnerable on the target, whoever in the party brings them. Solo, Attack reads 1,064 and regen drops to 5.8, so abilities run short of mana.

Where your stats come from

Each stat as the game's stat sheet breaks it down at Level 55, with the gear pieces behind each equipment total. The Level 56 sheet differs only in Attack (+7 from stat points), attack speed (1.11 s), hit (94.7%), crit (68.3%), damage (50.2%) and mana; see Character stats above.

Every attack, crit and ability damage node you can see is already maxed. The open nodes are defense, mana and utility, so none adds DPS. With 17 QP, the best known buy is Rift Delver at 20 QP (3 more): an extra Void Rift run every day is more loot and gear chances, which beats any defense node.

Weapon Mastery is the only uncapped damage node. Each new level adds about +0.15% attack speed (about +0.05% DPS) and shrinks as it climbs, so it is the long-term sink, not a priority. Spend order: Rift Delver at 20 QP, then every QP into Weapon Mastery. The totals on your stat sheet check out: Attack 4.5% = Sharp Strikes 2 + Power Surge 1.5 + Warlord 1; attack speed 4.07% = Weapon Mastery; ability damage 8% = Focused Strike 3 + Arcane Mastery 5.

Key findings

Auto-attacks make up about 70–75% of your damage, so the build pushes auto damage first and keeps abilities as cheap to run as it can.

Inner Focus vs Venom TipInner Focus: +4% all damage at 4/4Venom costs 1 mana per shot; Inner Focus grows +1% per rank

Auras: both apply only to your base stats, so they're smaller than their tooltips say. Attack Aura Lv16 (+4.84%) measured +37 Attack (1,153 → 1,190), worth about +3.2% damage. Haste Aura Lv9 (+2.65%) measured 1.09 → 1.08 s, worth about +0.5%. Run Attack solo. Confirmed in-game: only the strongest aura of each type applies. In a party, run whichever aura type no one else covers: if someone already runs a stronger Attack aura (for example +5.57% against your +4.84%), yours adds nothing, so switch to Haste. A party Wisdom aura is worth about +6–9%, because it keeps your abilities supplied with mana.

Mana budget

At full cooldown speed your abilities burn about 16 mana per second against 0.58 regen when solo, so a full bar lasts about 2 minutes. In a party, Party Wisdom raises regen to 8.48 per second, so mana rarely runs out.

Testing a change

General tree priority

Best General tree nodes, first to last, with value per point measured from your Combat Stats.

The Thrift, Well, Spring, Siphon and Grace nodes on the right are mana and sustain nodes (Path of Flow is mana regeneration, Path of Stone is max HP and defense), and none of them beat the damage nodes above, so they're not part of this list. The Focus nodes at the top of each column (Power Focus +0.5% damage, Haste Focus +0.5% attack speed) are already taken and are the best value per point. Resets have been free so far, so moving points is safe to try: check Combat Stats after each batch.

Total by 7114,069 → 15,97111,225 → 12,437

That adds up to about +13.5% by point 71 (15,971 DPS). Eagle Sight makes autos never miss a debuffed enemy, which closes the 94.9% hit gap and protects the Strategist's Grip crit stacks. General tree points are worth less: about +0.3% per point for the column 3 Malice (it needs an Aim first), then about +0.15 to +0.17% per point for Edge and Power ranks.

Best gear stats

Crit chance and All Stats are worth the most per point, but rolls differ in size, so compare gear by the DPS of a typical roll. Values are Bow Planner estimates at your current stats.

StatDPS per pointTypical rollDPS per roll

STR or INT+0.15% per point9 (rune)+1.3%
CDR, Luck, Gold Find, HP, DEF, Heal, Max Mana0—0

Execute assumes the target spends 40% of the fight below 40% HP, so treat it as an estimate. Flat ATK on gear is multiplied by your guild, party, quest and All Stats bonuses (about ×1.37), which is why 10 gear ATK is worth more than 10 ATK on the sheet. Your Strategist's Grip and Serpent's Bite Ring both scale off crits, so crit chance and crit damage are worth a little more than shown.

Rune priorities

Each item takes one rune of each type, and the rune list depends on the gear type. Every damage rune each item can hold is already socketed, so the best remaining buys are tier upgrades. DPS values are Bow Planner estimates.

T4 gives about 1.4 times the T3 value (Brutal: +10% at T3, +14% at T4), so each T3-to-T4 upgrade adds roughly 0.4 times the rune's DPS above. Spend gold in this order:

The empty armor slots only take defensive runes: fill them only if you start dying. Skip Marked upgrades unless you farm bosses, and skip CDR runes.

Ring of the EternalRing145The Eternal (Tier 11)Every 12th landed auto deals 1000% of base ATK and can crit, an estimated +25% auto damage. A miss resets the count.About +22%
Strategist's Grip (keep)Hands30EquippedCrits stack +5% attack up to +15%, and a miss resets it. Worth about +15% with Eagle Sight, more than the extra stats on any listed glove. Keep it enhanced.+15%, already in your numbers

The DPS increase is the Bow Planner's estimate at your current stats, for the item in its slot compared with what you wear now. Rings and boots assume the same stat rolls as the piece they replace, bows assume the same enhancement (+11) as your current bow, and only the effects listed here are counted. Items in the same slot do not stack, so do not add the bows together. Gains from base ATK shrink as your stat points grow.

The Grip, Signet, Marchboots and Ring of the Eternal all reward never missing and never dying, which makes Eagle Sight one of the most valuable points in the Bow tree.

Skip for this build: Stoneward's Vow Ring (turns off all your debuffs, including Hunter's Mark, Parasitic Arrow's vulnerable and the debuff Eagle Sight needs), Patriarch's Coronet (-30% auto-attack damage), Wraith's Vow Ring (autos cost 2 mana and its bonus needs 75% mana), Tyrant's Heart Ring (only works below 30% HP), Wellspring Ring (a party mana item that hurts you below 50% mana), Iron Grip Ring and Vow of Iron Ring (need a sword or a spear), and Loop of Eternity and Eternal Pendant (loot and XP, no damage). Gloves without a special effect, such as Phoenix Grasp, Stinging Gauntlets, Void-Touched Gauntlets and Reaper's Grasp, don't beat the Grip.
